| Richard and John Pinkney were
soldiers in the 4th Texas, Company G. - Grimes County Greys. This picture was
taken in Houston, in 1861, right before they went with their unit to Virginia.

Isaac Clark fought under Webmaster Ed's Great Grandfather in the 19th Texas Infantry, Company C. He is buried in Grimes County at the Oakland Cemetery in Navasota, Texas. His daughter, Marjorie is living near Austin and is active in the United Daughters of the Confederacy. | James V. Floyd was a Private in Company E of the 13th Texas Infantry. He is buried in Grimes County in the Old Oakland Cemetery in Roan's Prairie. He was a charter member of the Oakland Baptist Church in Roan's Prairie and many of his descendents are still living in Grimes County. |
