Grimes County Greys

Sons of Confederate Veterans - Camp #924

The Grimes County Greys owns and maintains a Confederate Heritage Plaza across from the Grimes County Courthouse on Main Street in downtown Anderson, Texas.

The Plaza is home to a bronze statue of a Confederate Soldier, flags from each of the Confederate States, and memorials to the ancestors of Greys members as well as other Confederate Veterans from Grimes County. An Information Center is also provided for the convenience of guests to the Plaza.

The Plaza is open 7 days a week from about 9 AM until sundown.

E-mail Commander Surface to ask about how you can honor your Confederate ancestor by purchasing a brick in their name. Proceeds from brick sales are used to maintain the Plaza.
